Rome Hosts the First RDM 4.0 Training Multi-Lab

From 10 to 12 March, project partners gathered at Forma Camera in Rome for the 1st Training Multi-Lab, bringing together 27 participants from across the consortium for three days of collaboration, learning and co-creation.

Over the course of two and a half days, the Multi-Lab provided an opportunity to transform ideas into a shared vision for the future of sustainable destination management. Working in transnational groups, partners exchanged experiences, analysed the challenges faced by rural and peripheral destinations, and jointly explored innovative approaches to vocational education and training.

The programme fostered a highly collaborative environment in which representatives from academia, training providers and practitioners worked side by side, combining their expertise and perspectives. Through interactive sessions, thematic discussions and co-design activities, participants developed the first draft architecture of the RDM 4.0 curriculum, integrating the digital, green and soft skills required by the next generation of destination managers.

A key moment of the programme was the field visit to the local company Wikihostel, hosted by Ulia and Luca, where participants had the opportunity to observe governance models, digital tools, sustainability practices and visitor experience management in a real operational context. This experience enabled the consortium to validate the competencies discussed during the Multi-Lab against practical realities.

Thanks to the excellent organisation and the strong spirit of cooperation among all partners, the Multi-Lab successfully achieved its planned objectives, representing an important milestone in the implementation of the project.

Following the meeting in Rome, project activities will continue online, where partners will further refine the curriculum and develop the next project outputs, building on the momentum generated during the event.
